Setting up online booking
Online booking allows your clients to search the services your clinic provides, and look at your clinicians' schedules and availability. Depending on your settings, your clients can:
- Book an appointment directly on Embodia by signing in to their account or creating a new account;
- Submit a booking request;
- Call or email your clinic to enquire about booking an appointment.
By default, online booking is disabled on your account. To enable online booking, you will need to:
- Mark at least one service as "Available in online booking";
- Set up your subdomain;
- Specify your online booking settings.

Enabling online booking of services
The actions described in this section require a Manager permission on your clinic.
In this help article, we went through how to add the services that your clinic offers. When managing those services, you have the option to mark services as "Available in online booking". Doing so will make the services visible in the online booking portal.
On your services page, services available in online booking will include an Online booking badge next to them. By default, those services are available to any practitioner in your clinic, i.e., clients who choose this service can book with any practitioner in your clinic as long as the appointment time fits in their schedule.
To restrict which practitioners clients can choose when looking for an appointment under this service, click on the Edit link and enter the practitioners that should be included in this service. For example, in the example above, this service is for physiotherapy, so restricting this service to your physiotherapist will prevent your clients from booking this service with one of your massage therapists.
Setting a subdomain
The actions described in this section require a Manager permission on your clinic.
To access the online booking portal for your clinic, your clients would need to visit your dedicated clinic page. That's where your subdomain comes into play.
A subdomain will allow you to obtain a unique URL for your clinic. Your patients can visit that unique URL to find and book appointments. A subdomain is just the first part of a URL (for example, https://my-clinic.embodiaapp.com has a subdomain of my-clinic).
To set up your subdomain, click on Online booking under My clinic > Scheduling settings in the top bar:
Click on Set my subdomain and fill in the form:
